The Computer Center was first founded as a "Data Processing Unit" in 1968, but later it became an independent center. The main facilities and services provided by Computer Center in both campuses have a purpose;
- to provide computer services for education and research,
- to form, operate and manage the communications infrastructure (electronic network structure) in the campuses.
- to provide hardware, software and end-user support for academic and administrative units of the university.
- to provide computer use opportunities for students and academics.
